Evaluation of the BMBF-FASIE activities – the way to commercialization

Research and development form the basis for an economically and ecologically sustainable future. The Russian Federation and the Federal Republic of Germany are committed to supporting the development of innovations and new findings on the way to this future.

The Russian Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (FASIE) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) have been holding joint annual funding competitions for co-funded German-Russian research and development projects since 2008 in order to strengthen German-Russian cooperation in applied industry-related research. A workshop on evaluation of the BMBF-FASIE activities took place in the Moscow State University Science Park on 16th October 2014.

The aims of the workshop were:

  • to discuss the effectiveness of the BMBF-FASIE funded projects
  • to present success stories and good practice examples
  • to provide recommendations on commercialization of products
  • to advise German and Russian projects partners how to increase the outcome of their projects

More than 30 representatives of German and Russian SME, universities and research organization took part in the event. They discussed – among others – the way to commercialization of joint products as well as further opportunities for future collaboration.
