Eurasian Scientific Research Institute of the Problems of Law (Russian Federation, Republic of Bashkortostan, Ufa) in the frames of the EU–Russia Year of Science 2014 has held the IVth International Scientific and Practical Conference "Topical problems of legislation and enforcement improvement" on the 8th of February, 2014.

More than 200 legal scholars and practitioners from Russia, Member-States of the European Union (Federal Republic of Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Bulgaria) and the countries of the former Soviet Union (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Ukraine) took part in the scientific forum.
The conference has included the following sections: state law, international law, civil law, criminal law. Conference participants have presented papers of high scientific relevance and novelty, and suggested the ways to tackle contemporary problems of lawmaking and law enforcement.
As an outcome of the conference, the Institute has published the Collection of papers and organised a contest of the reports, the winners have gained a right to publish extended versions of their reports in the International Scientific and Practical Legal Journal "Eurasian Advocacy" («Evrazijskaja advokatura»).
