01.05.2014 - 30.11.2014 | Arkhangelsk | Emden (Germany) | Freiberg (Germany)
On the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Lomonosov we developed together with students of our partner university (Northern Arctic Federal University (NArFU), Arkhangelsk) the basis for the “Virtual Museum in honor of Lomonosov”. In this virtual museum, exhibits from the places of Lomonosov’s activity are made accessible to everyone. Depending on your interest you can, for example, browse books, rotate objects, zoom images, retrieve/call up transcripts.
A virtual tour of a museum, for example in Lomonosovo, is also possible. Depending on the chosen presentation, the exhibits are very suitable for scientists as well as for pupils and students.
Michael W. Lomonosov grew up near Arkhangelsk. He studied in Moscow, Marburg and Freiberg, before he went to St. Petersburg and founded Moscow University. At each of the places of activity exhibits exist that were until now accessible to only a few people. With the help of the virtual museum, this has changed. Access to the largest European Library Project 'europeana' is provided, so all captured exhibits are easily accessible worldwide.
